Decrees

What is a decree?

A decree is the way the Bishop or a person with executive power in the Church communicates a decision. By using this formal process the decision can be announced and anyone who is aggrieved by the decree can take recourse utilising canons 1732-1739. In this manner the rights of individuals, communities, and the author of the decree are exercised and protected.
