The Western Pastoral Region encompasses the Callaghan Campus of the highly respected University of Newcastle, which offers quality tertiary education to residents and overseas students. The campus is served by a multi-faith chaplaincy team with Catholic chaplains involved in the outreach to staff and students.
The Western Pastoral Region has been enriched by the presence of the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary from Vietnam, who have immersed themselves in the life of the community and been warmly welcomed.
